Booked vs Acuity Scheduling
Acuity Scheduling is appointment software. It gives you a scheduling page, and you can add that page to a website. Booked is for salons, barbershops and studios. Staff, services, hours and a booking buffer are part of setup.

Choose Acuity Scheduling when
- You are not a salon, barbershop or studio, and you want appointment software.
- You already have a website and you want the scheduler added to it.
- You need a custom form that collects client details before the appointment.
Choose Booked when
- You run a salon, barbershop or studio, and you want staff, services, hours and a booking buffer in the setup.
- You want a public page that lists services, staff and photos.
- You want deposits, which are on Pro, and a way to mark a no-show.
Questions
- I have a Squarespace site. Can I still use Booked?
- Yes. Point your site's booking button at your Booked page. The site stays where it is, and clients book on the Booked page.
- Does Booked have intake forms?
- Booked does not have custom intake forms. A booking has a notes field, and a customer record has notes. If you need a form that collects client details, Acuity includes that.
