Install Booked on your phone
Add it to your home screen so it opens like an app — and what it does and does not do without a signal.
Booked installs from the browser. There is no App Store or Play listing to find, and no download — you add the site to your home screen and it opens in its own window, without browser chrome, starting on your dashboard.
Installing
| Device | How |
|---|---|
| iPhone / iPad | Open booked.co in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen |
| Android | Open booked.co in Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu, then Install app |
| Desktop | Chrome or Edge shows an install icon at the right of the address bar |
On iPhone this only works from Safari. Sharing from another browser adds a bookmark, not the app.
What you get
It opens standalone and in portrait, straight to your dashboard. Sign-in persists, so you are not typing a password at the front desk. Everything else is the site you already use — same features, same screens, updated at the same time.
What happens without a signal
Be clear-eyed about this one: Booked needs a connection to be useful.
The app itself opens without one — the screen and the layout are stored on the device. Your bookings, clients and services are not. On a dead signal you will get the shell of the app and no data in it, and anything you try to save will fail rather than queue up for later. It is not an offline appointment book, and treating it as one during a bad-signal morning would lose you work.
Updates
New versions install in the background and take effect the next time you open or refresh the app, never in the middle of what you are doing. If something looks stale after we have shipped a change, close it and reopen.
