Let an assistant charge a saved card

Saved-card charges start off. You set the switch and the maximum on your shop profile. No maximum means the charge is refused.

Two settings control whether an assistant may charge a card a customer saved at your shop. Both start off. You can also set how many of these bookings the shop accepts in one day. Leaving that unset means no daily limit.

You set the switch and the maximum on the shop profile, under Saved-card charges. An assistant cannot change either one. Turning this on without a maximum means a saved card is never charged. When no maximum is set, the charge is refused and no Booked page opens.

The amount is still your deposit. Saved-card charges off: the customer pays on a Booked page. On, and the deposit is within the maximum, and the customer has a saved card at your shop: that card is charged. Above the maximum, the card is not charged and no payment page opens. With no saved card, or an expired card, the card is not charged and no payment page opens.

If the bank asks the customer to confirm, or the card is declined, the customer pays on a Booked page. Booked cancels the first attempt before opening that page. A charge that is still processing stays on the booking until it finishes. The visit exists on your calendar only after the deposit is paid.
