Reply to and moderate reviews

Answer a review in public, hide one that should not be up, or add a review a client gave you in person.

Reviews appear on your public booking page with a star average and a card for each one, and search engines read that rating. Dashboard → Reviews is where you manage them.

Replying

  1. Open Dashboard → Reviews.
  2. Find the review and click Reply publicly.
  3. Write your reply and save.

The reply shows underneath the review on your booking page, labelled as coming from the shop. Up to 2000 characters.

Editing a typo later does not change the date on the reply — it keeps the date you first answered, so a months-old reply does not resurface looking new. Clearing the box and saving removes the reply entirely.

Hiding versus deleting

Both are on the review, and they are not the same thing.

ActionWhat happens
HideThe review leaves your public page and stops counting toward your star average. You can still see it in the dashboard, and unhide it later.
DeleteGone permanently, with no way back.

Hide is almost always the one you want. Delete is for a row that should never have existed — a duplicate, or a CSV column that landed in the wrong field during an import.

Your rating is the public one

The average at the top of the Reviews page counts visible reviews only, exactly as your booking page does. That is deliberate: hiding a one-star is supposed to move the number, and you should be able to see it move.

Adding a review by hand

Click Add a review for feedback a client gave you in person or in a message. It appears on your booking page like any other. Enter the date it was actually given — future dates are refused, because the page sorts by that date and a future review would pin itself to the top forever.

Where reviews come from

Reviews are not collected automatically from your booking page today. They arrive two ways: the Import wizard, which takes a CSV of reviews from Google, Yelp or elsewhere, and adding them by hand. Separately, if you set a review link on your profile, Booked texts clients a link to leave a review at that destination after their visit.
