Set up your X profile

Put your Booked address in the X bio and website field, then pin a post that links to it.

Your public booking page has an address: https://booked.co/<slug>. <slug> is the short name on your shop page. That address is what you put on X. It does not include a customer's name, email, or phone number.

Where the address goes

X profiles have a bio and a website field. Put the booking address in both when your account shows both. X turns the website field into a link. In the bio, write out the full address so readers can open or copy it.

If the shop has more than one location, use that location's own address. The X booking link field in the Share your booking page section of the Shop page shows it. It can look like https://booked.co/<brand>/<location>?src=x. The src=x part tells Booked that the booking started from that profile link.

A post, separate from the profile link

The same section has Share on X. It opens X's composer at https://x.com/intent/post with a short sentence and url=https://booked.co/<path>?ref=x. You still decide whether to post. Booked does not post for you. It does not use an X application key, an X script, or a tracking pixel.

Three sentences are there to copy, or to open in the composer:

Use one only when it is true for this shop. The sentence does not name a customer and it does not invent a number of open times.

Square (1080 by 1080) and 16:9 (1600 by 900) images of the shop are on the same card. Download one and attach it in X when you want an image on the post. The images exist once the location can take bookings. A location that is not bookable yet has no image. The profile address still works, and the page says the shop is not taking bookings.

Professional account

X offers a Professional account at no charge. There are two kinds: Business and Creator. Switching to one does not by itself change who sees your posts. A Professional account is what turns on the profile modules X calls spotlights.

Location Spotlight

Location Spotlight can show a business address, hours, a contact method, and a map on the profile. The controls are in the professional profile settings. X moves those controls, and some spotlights are limited by country, so follow the labels in your own account. This article does not give a fixed sequence of steps inside X.

Booked does not send your address or hours to that module. You enter them in X yourself. They should match the address and hours on the booking page.

Keep the booking address in the website field and the bio. Those fields take an ordinary https address. Do not depend on a spotlight that only accepts an approved list of websites. Your booking address may not be on that list, and that restriction is X's, not a setting in Booked.

Pin the post

After you publish a post that includes the booking address, you can pin it. The pinned post stays at the top of the profile. X allows one pinned post. Pinning a new post replaces the previous pin. Removing the pin leaves the post on the profile. It does not delete the post.

What Booked records

When a customer books from a link that includes ref=x or src=x, Booked stores the source value x on that booking. It does not store an X username, an IP address, or a browser identifier for this. The first X link in a browser session for that shop is the one that counts, even if the customer later opens a different profile link for the same shop in that session. A different shop does not reuse that session value.

Analytics shows Bookings from X for the date range you select. The count includes canceled bookings, the same way the other source rows do. A Booked admin can also see the total number of these bookings and the number of shops they belong to. That total is a count. It is not a list of customers.

What should I put in the X website field?

The location's booking address from the dashboard. When that field includes ?src=x, use the address as shown, including that part.
