Leave a tip after your appointment

You can tip when you book, or afterwards from your confirmation page. All of it goes to the shop.

If the shop has tipping switched on, there are two moments you can leave one.

When you book

If you are paying a deposit or the full price online, tip options appear on the payment step. It goes on the same card charge.

After the visit

Open your confirmation page — the link in your confirmation email or text — once the appointment has finished. A tip box appears there.

  1. Pick a percentage, or type an amount if the shop allows it.
  2. Enter the email or phone number you booked with.
  3. Tip securely.

That takes you to Stripe's payment page. You do not need an account, and the card you tip with does not have to be the one you booked with.

Between $0.50 and $500, once per appointment. When it has gone through, the box is replaced with a thank-you — so if you see that, it worked, and you should not try again.

Where the money goes

To the shop. Booked takes no fee on a tip.

If you do not see the option

The shop has not turned tipping on, or the appointment is not over yet — the box only appears once the end time has passed. Some shops would rather you tipped in person, and that is a choice they make deliberately.

Your card is never on our side

Every payment on Booked, tips included, is handled on Stripe's own page. We never receive your card number.
