Change or remove a card you saved

What saving a card at a shop actually does, and how to see, update or delete it later.

When you pay online, some shops offer Save card for faster rebooking next time. It is optional and off unless you tick it.

What it does

Your card is stored by Stripe, not by Booked — we hold nothing but the brand, the last four digits and the expiry, which is all we need to show you which card it is.

Next time you book at that same shop, the card appears as a chip above the booking button with a One-tap book option. It is saved per shop: saving one at your barber does not put it in front of any other shop on Booked.

Seeing or changing it

  1. Open a confirmation page for a booking at that shop — the link from your confirmation email or text.
  2. Find the saved-card section.
  3. Enter the email or phone you booked with.

You will be told which card is on file, and given a link to Stripe's own card manager in a new tab, where you can replace it or delete it. Removing it there removes it — the next booking will ask for a card again.

If you are told there is no card on file, either you never ticked the box, or the card expired and was dropped.

If you would rather not save one

Leave the box unticked. Every booking works exactly the same way, you just type the card each time.

Never enter card details anywhere else

Booked will never email or text you asking for card details, and no genuine page on booked.co asks you to type a card number into our site — card entry always happens on Stripe's page. Anything that does otherwise is not us.
