Stop receiving SMS from Booked
Reply STOP to any SMS. Opt-out is instant and applies to that shop.
Reply STOP to any text and the messages stop. You will get one final text confirming it, and nothing after that.
How to opt out
- Open any text you have had about a booking.
- Reply with the word STOP on its own.
- You will get one confirmation, then no further texts.
The keyword has to be the whole message. "STOP" and "stop." both work; "please stop texting me at 6am" does not, because matching loosely would opt people out for saying the word in passing.
Every keyword that works
| Reply | What it does |
|---|---|
STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT, OPT-OUT | Stop all texts |
HELP, INFO | Get a reply naming the shop, with our support address |
START, UNSTOP, YES, OPTIN, OPT-IN | Start receiving texts again |
CANCEL opts you out of texting — it does not cancel your appointment. Carriers require that keyword to mean unsubscribe. To cancel an appointment, use the link in your confirmation email.
Two things worth knowing before you reply STOP
It stops every text, including appointment reminders. These are not marketing messages we keep sending — after you opt out, Booked sends you no SMS at all, so you will not get a reminder the day before your next appointment. If reminders are the part you want, that is worth weighing. You will still get email, and you can always manage a booking from the link in your confirmation email.
It applies to every shop, not just the one that texted you. Booked sends from shared numbers rather than a different number per shop, so there is no way for us to tell which shop you meant. Replying STOP to a text from one salon stops texts from every business using Booked.
