What notifications you will get
Booked sends a small, fixed set of messages tied to your appointment. No marketing.
Booked sends only booking-related messages. There are no promotional emails or SMS blasts from Booked itself.
The full set
| Message | When it is sent | Channel |
|---|---|---|
| Booking confirmation | Right after you book | Email if you gave one, SMS if you gave a phone |
| Booking reminder | Usually 24 hours before (shop-configurable) | Same channel as the confirmation |
| Reschedule confirmation | When the time changes | Same channel |
| Cancellation confirmation | When the booking is canceled | Same channel |
| Waitlist alert | When a place opens on a full session you joined | Email, SMS, or both |
| Review request | A couple of hours after your visit, if the shop asks for reviews | Same channel |
What the shop can send separately
If a shop uses Booked's owner tools, they may also send you the occasional message about their business—a hours change, a new service, a slow-day discount. Those are the shop speaking to their own customers, not Booked marketing to you. You can opt out of them (see Stop receiving SMS from a shop).
