Top up SMS credits mid-cycle
One-off purchase, not a subscription. Credits roll over until you use them.
If you hit your SMS allowance partway through the cycle, you can buy a top-up pack rather than wait for renewal.
Steps
- Open Dashboard → Billing and find the SMS usage panel.
- Click Top up.
- Pick a pack. Stripe charges the card on file.
- Credits are live within a minute.

Both are one-off purchases, not subscriptions. The 2,000 is the better per-message rate, and there is no reason not to take it if you expect to use it, because credits do not expire at the end of a cycle.
Roll-over, and the order they are spent in
Top-up credits roll over across billing cycles until used. Your included monthly allowance resets every cycle whether you used it or not.
The allowance is spent first and the top-up only afterwards, so buying a pack early in a busy month is never wasted — an unused pack simply sits there until a month that needs it.
What the panel shows you
Remaining out of the total, where the total is the allowance plus any top-up balance, and a status: healthy, approaching, on top-up credits, or capped. "On top-up credits" means the monthly allowance is gone and you are into the pack, which is the moment to decide whether this is a busy month or a pattern.
When to top up and when to change plan
If you top up every month, the arithmetic has stopped favouring you. Yearly SMS is 7,000 credits for $50 against 6,000 for $60 monthly, so a shop consistently near the cap should look at the cadence before the packs. Email hello@booked.co and we will work it out with you.
