What happens when I hit the 500-message SMS cap?

Sending pauses. Bookings still work; only the text messages stop. We email you at 80% and again at 100%.

We never charge an SMS overage. Instead, sending pauses at the cap.

What still works

What stops

Nobody is left uninformed

This is the part worth understanding before it happens. A customer who gave you a phone number and an email still gets everything, by email. A customer who gave you only a phone number gets nothing until credits are back — which is the real cost of hitting the cap, and the reason to watch the panel rather than let it surprise you.

Fixing it

On yearly SMS there is no monthly cap

A yearly add-on holds 7,000 credits for the whole year rather than 500 a month, so there is no cycle to wait for. When that pool runs out, a top-up is the only route until the plan renews — worth knowing in a busy autumn.

The cap is per shop, not per staff member, and it counts every SMS Booked sends on your behalf — confirmations, reminders, reschedules and cancellations alike.
