Booking statuses explained
Five statuses. Each one changes what the customer sees and what your reports count.
Every booking on Booked sits in one of five statuses. Reports, no-show rates, and revenue rollups filter on these.
| Status | Meaning | Counts as revenue? |
|---|---|---|
pending | Deposit required, not yet paid | No |
confirmed | Time slot held, customer expected | Not until completed |
completed | Service delivered | Yes |
canceled | Called off by customer or shop | No |
no_show | Customer didn't arrive | No, but tracked separately |
How statuses move
- Public bookings without a deposit land as confirmed immediately.
- Public bookings with a deposit land as pending until Stripe confirms the charge, then flip to confirmed.
- After the appointment ends, the booking waits at confirmed until you mark it completed or no-show.
- Canceled is set by either side. Customer cancels through their confirmation page; you cancel from the calendar.
Why to close bookings out
Ending the week with a stack of unmarked confirmed bookings makes your revenue and no-show numbers wrong. Two minutes at close every day keeps the reports honest.
