Can I add a walk-in from the calendar?

Yes. Click an empty slot, fill three fields, done. No customer email required.

Walk-ins get added directly to the calendar. They skip the public booking flow and never generate a confirmation email unless you add one.

Steps

  1. Open Dashboard → Calendar.
  2. Click the empty slot where the walk-in should sit.
  3. Fill in:

- Staff member (defaults to the column you clicked)

- Service

- Customer name (email and phone are optional)

  1. Save.

The booking lands with status confirmed. If you added an email, we send the standard confirmation; without one, the booking sits silently on the calendar.

The dashboard is not bound by the public rules

A booking you make yourself ignores the minimum notice, the buffer and how far ahead the calendar opens. Those settings govern what customers are offered, not what you can do. What it will not ignore is a genuine collision: the same staff member cannot hold two appointments at once, whoever is entering them.

So a walk-in at a time your page would never have offered is fine, and a walk-in on top of an existing booking is not.

Give them a contact if you can

A name alone is enough to get the booking on the calendar. A name plus a phone number or email gives you three things a bare name does not: a confirmation they can keep, an entry in the customer list their next visit will attach to, and a way to tell them if something changes.

Thirty seconds at the desk, and the second visit is a regular rather than another walk-in.
